Changing default port 7MTT listens on

When you are running a lab in your own laptop, saving resources is a concern. Sometimes you would like to run multiple products in the same system but you can’t because of conflicting TCP/IP ports for example.

This is the case with 7MTT (login required) that conflicts with NetApp’s VMware VASA provider.

To change the port 7MTT uses for HTTP and HTTPS, edit the following file :

C:\Program Files\NetApp\7-Mode Transition Tool\etc\transition-tool.conf

and change the values for :

tool.http.port = 8088

and/or :

tool.https.port = 8444

Then you can just point your browser to https://127.0.0.1:8444/transition
